Imagine being mistaken for a burglar while innocently smoking marijuana behind a community theater. This is exactly what happened to Nick Offerman and his friends in California.
Caught by the police, Offerman and his group had an unplanned sleepover in jail. The mistaken identity was only cleared the next day when the police realized that these were not the burglars they were after. Consequently, the group was released from custody without further delay.
Nick Offerman and his Unusual Love for Marijuana
Interestingly, one of Offerman’s friends managed to keep their stash of marijuana even while in police custody. Not getting deterred by their previous night’s experience, they chose to smoke it right in front of the sheriff’s station the following morning.
Nick Offerman’s affection for marijuana is no secret. However, in a twist of fate, he decided to quit his habit. He says that he has since reached a point in his life where the need for marijuana does not exist anymore. He is content with his life and doesn’t see the necessity to use it.
A Change for the Better?
Offerman credits his wife, Megan Mullally, for playing a significant role in his decision to quit. Despite quitting, he still keeps a stash of marijuana at home, just in case he feels the need for it someday.
Offerman finds an ironic twist in his relationship with marijuana. During the time when he was dependent on it, he found it hard to afford good quality marijuana. Now, when he can easily afford the best quality, he has no desire for it.
