At 54, Jennifer Lopez recently graced the stage of Saturday Night Live (SNL) as a musical guest, offering her fans a taste of her upcoming album, “This Is Me … Now”.
She delighted the audience with two tracks from her new album – the title track, “This Is Me … Now” and the catchy “Can't Get Enough”. In a highlight of the show, Jennifer was joined on stage by special guests Latto and Redman during the performance of “Can't Get Enough”.
However, an unexpected incident occurred. In the midst of Redman's verse, Lopez's hair extension came loose. Unfazed, the seasoned performer threw it away and carried on with her performance without skipping a beat. The mishap was captured and shared widely on social media platforms, even though it was not visible in the official SNL YouTube clip due to a different camera angle.
The evening was hosted by Ayo Edebiri, who had no shortage of praise for Lopez's performance, extolling her virtues during the episode credits. And in a heartwarming moment, Lopez seemingly gave a shout-out to her family. She was heard saying “I love you, Ben”, likely referring to her husband Ben Affleck, as she blew a kiss to the camera.
A look at their family
Lopez and Affleck tied the knot in July 2022, and reaffirmed their commitment to each other by renewing their vows just a month later. Notably, the couple had previously ended their engagement in 2004. Today, they cherish their blended family, with Lopez being the mother to twins Max and Emme (15), fathered by her ex-husband Marc Anthony, and Affleck being the father to Violet (18), Seraphine (15), and Samuel (11), from his previous marriage to Jennifer Garner.
Insiders have shared that Lopez and Affleck have been making a concerted effort to maintain a healthy relationship for the sake of their children. Open communication is a priority, and they are committed to ensuring the benefits their children derive from their relationship.
